Rod has been in commercial real estate since 1975. In 1991 Rod merged his commercial real estate business, Carolina Commercial Brokers, with Miller Jones & Associates to form Miller Hatcher Commercial Real Estate. Rod also has experience as a general contractor.
Rod has been involved with the sale of over $124M in apartment properties in North Carolina. He has also listed and sold some of the largest industrial buildings in Forsyth County including the 865,000 square foot AT&T facility, the 330,000 square foot Gravely facility, and the 370,000 square foot Flakt building on Lowery Street in Winston-Salem. Rod was the developer of Ridgewood Industrial Park and numerous medical office buildings.
Rod’s specialties include Tenant Representation for retail and industrial properties, Commercial Sales, Multi-Family Purchase and Sales, and Investment Real Estate Purchase and Sales. Rod received a BA from Guilford College in 1974 and then moved to Winston-Salem. Rod has served as President of the Winston-Salem Jaycees and Chairman of the Realtors Commercial Listing Alliance. Rod was the first in Forsyth County to hold the prestigious designation of a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM.)
Kevin is our President of Property Management and a Broker at Miller Hatcher. Before joining Miller Hatcher in March 2016, Kevin left an 11-year career in the DC Metro area as a Senior Project Manager.
Kevin dedicates himself to serving the property owners and managing our diverse portfolio of properties. Kevin is proactive and excellent at communicating and explaining both simple and complex management concerns to tenants and owners. Kevin continuously shows strategic and efficient thinking while keeping his client’s needs in focus.
Kevin is a detailed Broker and property manager who applies knowledge of commercial and government construction to commercial property management sales and leasing. Kevin brings his experience managing hospital and government construction to the property management side of Miller Hatcher. He is adept at anticipating needs through accurate record keeping and communications and efficiently allocates resources within available budgets. Kevin earned his Bachelors in Construction Management and Minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University in 2005.
Bre is the Director of Financial and Administrative services for Miller Hatcher Commercial Real Estate as well as a broker. After a 10-year career in budgeting and forecasting of Navy Shipbuilding in Washington, D.C., Bre began her commercial real estate career with Miller Hatcher in February of 2016.
Bre’s success with Miller Hatcher has been attributed to her responsiveness, attention to detail, uncompromised integrity, and diverse knowledge of business and financial strategies. Bre earned her Bachelors in Science from East Carolina University in 2005.
Jessica began her career with Miller Hatcher in January of 2017. After graduating from The Art Institute of Charlotte in 2014 with a degree in Graphic Design, she worked for Furnitureland South and Caracole (formerly Schnadig). Jessica also has experience in IT and Helpdesk Support but her passion lies in design.
Jessica's background has been a great asset to the Miller Hatcher team assisting with marketing brochures and website design.
Phil is a broker and joined Miller Hatcher, Inc. in 2008. Phil works in land and industrial sales as well as retail leasing in the Piedmont Triad Metro markets.
Phil has an additional 12 years’ business experience as a former Mayor of Eden, NC, 23 years as a small business owner and former salesman with the Xerox Corporation. Phil was born in Eden, NC and earned a BS in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Phil is married and is involved in multiple community activities.
Phil is on the Board of Home Savings Bank of Eden. Phil is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the North Carolina Association of Realtors (NCAR), the Winston-Salem Regional Association of Realtors (WSRAR), and the Commercial & Industrial Division of the WSRAR. Phil has served as Vice-Chairman of the Realtors Commercial Alliance (RCA) Board of Directors and served as the 2014 Chairman of the RCA.
Jack joined the Miller Hatcher, Inc. team in January 2013 with a 30-plus year background in urban planning, downtown development and commercial real estate. In 2016 he became Broker in Charge for Miller Hatcher, Inc.
Prior to beginning his brokerage practice, Jack served in Winston-Salem’s Economic Development Office as Director of Downtown Development. During this time Jack was hands on with many projects including, the Wachovia Headquarters Building, the Park Building, City Hall South and the Wingate Inn, One West Fourth Street, the relocation of Southern National (BB&T), The Nyssen Building, and was the first Director of the Piedmont Triad Research Park (now Innovation Quarter). Jack is the past President of the North Carolina Downtown Development Association and a recipient of the International Downtown Association Economic Development Award of Merit.
Jack has been actively involved in the Winston-Salem Association of Realtors, is a past Chairman of the Commercial Real Estate Alliance, and was named the 2011 Commercial Practitioner of the Year. He is a former Vestry Member and Senior Warden at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. Has also served on numerous non-profit boards and commissions, and is a member of the Winston-Salem Rotary Club.
Jack is particularly adept at sales, leasing, development and re-development of downtown commercial real estate. He is also versed in brokerage of suburban offices, industrial and retail property, the sale of large tracts of land for new development, and site selection. Jack offers assistance to clients in need of local government permitting, approvals, rezoning, and economic development incentives.
Tim is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a major in Finance, minor in Business Law. Upon graduation. Tim focused his skills and knowledge toward a career on Wall Street. Beginning as a stock broker, Tim’s hard work and perseverance were instrumental in his growth and attainment of a position in the equity trading pits with a premier NASDAQ firm.
In 2004, upon the conclusion of a successful 10-year career on Wall Street, Tim relocated his growing family to North Carolina in pursuit of a lifestyle change and to explore opportunities in the Commercial Real Estate industry. With a focus on multifamily and investment property, Tim developed both local and out of state clients and participated in the sale and acquisition of millions of dollars of Multifamily asset throughout the state of NC. Additionally, Tim was employed for 4 years with a premier North Carolina Development Company focusing on neighborhood shopping centers and unanchored strip centers in the south eastern portion of United States. Specifically, Tim was the leasing Manager for 7 neighborhood shopping centers (totaling 550,000 SF) and located in the Triad area of NC. His responsibilities included filling the vacant units and development of new tenants to complement the existing tenant mix at the centers, retail contract negotiations new and existing tenants, and asset management of the center to maintain superior quality and appeal of the existing shopping centers.
Tim earned his prestigious CCIM designation in April 2009, licensed Commercial Appraiser trainee 2011 and NC licensed General Contractor 2015 – Public Utilities and Building classifications. Expanded his skill sets into management and business development as the Vice President of an underground construction company located in Greensboro, NC which began as a start-up without any business accounts into a developing business service the telecommunication industry.
Tim enjoys family time with his wife and 4 sons, playing ball sports, and various outdoor activities. In his spare time, Tim rebuilds antique Farm tractors and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He's also an accomplished drummer with over 35 years of professional experience in the recording studio and performing at live performance venues.
Bill works each day as a Commercial Real Estate Broker to provide the highest level of service to our clients. Whether it is buying or selling, or landlord/tenant representation, he always strives to give the highest level of service and representation in every negotiated deal. As a member of the Realtors Commercial Alliance, he can provide you all commercial listings available.
Bill worked for several national corporations in reorganizations and acquisitions after completing college at UNC-Charlotte in 1980. He then joined the Wall Street firm of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, where he rose to be a top sales producer. He went on to work in various wholesaling positions in Wall Street firms, which led him to deliver over 200 speaking engagements and sales training workshops per year. In 2003, he started a real estate investment company in North Carolina.
Bill joined our firm in 2018. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, hiking with his family and bicycling. His travels have taken him throughout all 50 United States and 46 other countries. Bill coached Team USA, the 2018 World Champion Sport Stacking International Challenge Team, and is coach of the Guinness World Record holding Sport Stacking relay team.
